TRADITIONAL FOOD FROM EAST JAVA

This food is typically a coastal food. Kupang lontong is consist of kupang; Kupang is kinds of oyster or small shellfish;  lontong or rice cake and completed by the shrimp paste. Similar with Lontong balap, kupang lontong is also has lento or fried cassava for the topping and scallop satai. Kupang lontong is all-time-appetite, its hot and spicy with mixing flavor between sweet and salty flavor. The ingredients in Kupang lontong are simple, its only garlic, shrimp paste and chilli. Shrimp paste is an important role to dish up Kupang lontong, it is to get special taste and add the deliciousness. Those ingredients are mixed well then it pour on the top of kupang, lontong and dressing up with lentho or you can call it fried cassava.

2.Salted eggs is one protein sources that easily available and the price is inexpensive. Salted eggs is one of food ingredients that has been preserved and having a durability of damage is better than raw eggs.
At Kebonsari village, Candi district, Sidoarjo, is the place of salted egg industry. If you go to Sidoardjo, don’t forget to taste it.

3.Smoked Milk Fish is a traditional food from Sidoarajo. Its milk fish that are soak into the salty water and then smoked the fish until its dry. It should be eaten  with a special sauce that is made by mix ketchup and shrimp paste. The center of smoked fish industrial is located in Bulu Sidokare village, the city of Sidoarjo. Rujak Cingur usually consists of several kinds of sliced fruits like cucumber, krai (a kinds of cucumber typical of East Java), bengkoang, young mango, pineapple, and some rice cake, tofu, tempe, cingur, bendoyo and vegetables like sprouts , swamp cabbage and long beans. All ingredients are mixed with special sauce that is made by shrimp paste, boiled water, brown sugar, chili pepper, fried peanuts, fried onions, salt and thinly sliced of green beans young bananas. All the seasonings are mixed in crushed.
This food is called rujak cingur for the spice processed that is used is shrimp paste and sliced cingur. This is what distinguishes the food in general rujak usually without the use of materials such cingur. Rujak Cingur served with extra ordinary cracker, and with the base pincuk (banana leaf) or a plate of
smoke sardine.
Soto Lamongan
5.Description: lamonganSoto lamongan is different with the other Soto. Soto Lamongan is the only Soto which using Koya or a kinds of garlic powder. The side dish for this food is chicken, that is a free-range chicken, which is been steam with the spices before
At first, the soup for this Soto is clear, but as the time goes by it has an acculturation with Surabaya Soto, which use milk fish for the soup. The early begin why using Koya is not been sure, the fact that Koya is made from shrimp cracker and fried garlic, which both of them are pounded manually.
Soto Lamongan is consist of, rice, chicken, egg, the young egg or 'Uritan', celery, so'un noddle, and soup. There are two different ways to serve Soto Lamongan,  in separated way or mix in one bowl. In separate way  means that your rice will be separated from the soup and the dishes, or you can mix all the ingredient into one bowl. The ingredients for this Soto are coriander, caraway seed, lemon grass, onion, garlic, ginger, galangale, pepper, salt, candle nut and fried onion. Besides, Soto Lamongan also consist of carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin and some other mineral from the meat, milk fish and the green vegetable.
Tahu Campur

As mentioned, the main ingredienst from this food is must be tofu, but sometimes tofu itself is not dominate the whole component from this food, together with rice cake, noddle, sprouts, meat, and shrimp crackers. The additional ingredients which is making this food more awesome is coming  from petis,( it is a kinds of sauce made by fermented shrimp). Mix tofu is  consist of  tofu, meat, rice cake, noddle, sprouts, lettuce, and lento. Lento is like piece of cake made from cassava. The existence of mix tofu, nowadays is become a healthy food among another junk food, because it contain more vitamin, protein, fat and carbohydrate. So, you should try it sometimes
Wingko
7.Description: lamonganWingko or people usually call it Wingko Babat is one of east Java traditional food. Wingko is a kinds of cake that is made by coconut as a main ingredient. Wingko sometimes becomes a gift from the passengers  who are passing by to Lamongan. That makes Wingko becomes more famous. Sometimes, people got mistaken that Wingko is actually coming from Semarang, Middle of Java. But the fact is Wingko Babat is coming from a place named Babat, it is a small area in Lamongan, East Java. Babat is near to Bojonegoro, which is well-known as a wood producer. So, when you are passing that place, you should try it.

Before you fry it, you must separate the snail from its shell and then you wash it until it is really clean. Season it with a little salt and then fry it. Koninginnedag or Queen’s day is a national holiday in the kingdom of the Netherlands. It is celebrated on 30 April. It will be held on 29 April if 30 April is a Sunday. It will also be held on 1 May if 30 is Friday ( but only in Saba and Sint Eustatius ). Koninginnedag is Queen Beatrix’s official day. Actually Queen Beatrix was born on 31 January, but it is observed on 30 April as it was the birthday of her mother and predecessor, Queen Juliana. Many of the traditional activities are held outside. The dutch always celebrate it by drinking heavily, partying, wearing orange, free market (flea  market), concerts, traditional local gatherings and customs. Koninginnedag is also known as  free market day. Because many Dutch sell their secondhand items. It is also opportunity for “Orange Madness” because some of the dutch’s hair often dyed orange for this occasion.
